MIP Pool Pals
Come and make some waves with us on the first Friday evening of each month!
Individuals with brain injury will reap therapeutic benefits of aquatic therapy while just splashing around and moving in the pool. It’s a great way to meet new friends! This MIP sponsored program is open to siblings and family members. Jump in the pool with your family or request assistance from one our MIP Pool Pal Volunteers. To register or to learn more about this program, please contact us via email or call at 708. 531.1616.

Thoughts from a MIP Pool Pal Volunteer….
“MIP Pool Pals not only benefits individuals with brain injuries but all that are involved, from participant’s family members to volunteers. Everyone walks away with a smile on their face and I think that is why this program has done so well and will continue to succeed in the future. Personally, I have seen how excited our volunteers become when it is a couple days before Pool Pals.
They cannot wait to swim and spend time with these fun and loving children. Often the volunteers are thanked by many people but I feel like we should be thanking the kids and their parents. I think I speak on the behalf of the volunteers when I say we walk away with more than we gave. The participants gain great aqua therapy benefits along with enjoying the time in the water and the volunteers take pride in the service they are able to offer to others. It is truly a win-win situation for all involved.”
